Cowboys-49ers odds and predictions: who is the favourite in the NFL Week 5 game?

A team chasing their first NFL championship since the 1994 season, the San Francisco 49ers will look to continue their 100% start to the new campaign when the Californians host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5 today.

San Fran on streak, Dallas back to winning ways

The 49ers have scored at least 30 points per game on their to a 4-0 record so far, most recently beating the Arizona Cardinals 35-16 seven days ago.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys - who have also averaged over 30 points in 2023 - bounced back from defeat to the Cardinals in Week 3 to see off the New England Patriots 38-3 last Sunday.

Dallas, who are also chasing a first Vince Lombardi Trophy since the mid-1990s, head to Levi’s Stadium with a 3-1 record.

The 49ers and the Cowboys last met in Week 15 of the 2020 season, with Dallas prevailing 41-33 at AT&T Stadium.

Cowboys vs 49ers: betting odds

The bookmakers are backing the 49ers to clinch their first 5-0 start since 2019 - the last time they reached the Super Bowl.

Per Oddschecker, San Francisco are valued at -185 to come out on top (meaning that a $185 bet wins you $100). The Cowboys, on the other hand, are rated at +150 (a $100 bet wins you $150).

Meanwhile, the point spread is -3.5 (-110) for the 49ers and +3.5 (-110) for the Cowboys.

The San Francisco 49ers host the Dallas Cowboys at Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, at 8:20pm ET/5:20pm PT today, Sunday 8 October 2023. TV viewers in the US will be able to watch the NFL Week 5 Game on NBC.
